Description
JOB SUMMARY:
The Ski & Snowboard Instructor acts as support staff to the Ski Department for Villa Olivia. Examples of duties include:
- Instruct on skiing and snowboarding to all levels of guests to help them become more proficient.
- Promote safety on the slopes by emphasizing skier and rider responsibility; help guests understand the ski hill environment.
- Assist ski hill patrol with safety procedures during emergencies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be a minimum of 16 years of age.
- Must be proficient in skiing or snowboarding.
- Requires strong people and customer service skills; ability to act rationally and calmly in emergency situations.
- Certification through Professional Ski Instructors of America or American Association of Snow Board Instructors is a plus.
- Must be able to do physical work and/or move up to 50 lbs.
- Must own own ski/snowboarding equipment.
SCHEDULE & PAY: Typically under 20 hours per week. Must be available nights, weekends, and holidays as required. Starting hiring range is between $15.00 - $18.00 per hour, dependent on qualifications.
