Job Summary:
Under general direction, this position leads the Bartlett Orthopedic Services to deliver high quality medical care to patients presenting for outpatient and surgical orthopedic care. In addition, this position will oversee the Bartlett Ophthalmic service to deliver high quality medical care to patients presenting for treatment of macular degeneration and secondary cataracts. Works directly with contracted and employed providers and is responsible for carrying out Hospital policy and daily operation of outpatient clinics. Coordination with Surgeons, Practitioners, and Ancillary Departments to reach departmental and organizational goals in imperative. The Officer Manager is responsible for scheduling and supervising clinics and personnel. This position stands in for other outpatient managers in their absence
Minimum Qualifications for the Job:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Completes annual educational requirements.
- Experience: Three (3) years medical office/clinic management experience which includes coding, billing, and collections.-OR-
- Associate degree in Healthcare related field and one (1) year of management experience in any area (healthcare preferred). -OR-
- Six (6) years of experience in healthcare clinic administrative support including any combination of the following: medical office coordination, medical records management, clinic coding, billing, and collections may be substituted for management experience to meet the experience requirement.
Preferred: Prior Orthopedic experience preferred. Prior Meditech or eClinical Works experience preferred. Experience creating and working within a budget preferred.
Internal Hires: Pay rate will be determined based on applicable personnel rule or union contract terms.
