Starting Wage: $38.51 - $46.21/hr
Internal Hires: Pay rate will be determined based on applicable personnel rule or union contract terms.
Job Summary:
This position works solely within the Wildflower Court facility, providing social work services to the residents within the facility. The Social Worker is responsible for working independently under the Director of Post-Acute Care and alongside the Director of Nursing and family/guardians to create a seamless and effective individualized treatment plan for each resident. Incumbents are expected to stay up to date in established policies, procedures, ACMA guidelines, and NASW code of ethics. This position plans and implements complex individualized social work care, with intermittent-to-limited supervision. Social Workers at this level are able to manage routine and emergency care.
Minimum Qualifications for the Job:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited social work program with a bachelor’s degree.
Preferred education: Master’s degree in social work.
- License: Alaska Social Work License at time of appointment or within 90 days of hire if licensed in another state.
- License: Valid Driver’s License required if assigned to perform patient transport duties.
- Experience: One (1) year of experience working as a social worker in the area of health care or long-term care.
