Nursing Assistant- in-training employees must be willing to commit to working 2080 hours of employment as a CNA at Wildflower Court, our long-term care facility or in another area selected by BRH to meet the needs of the organization to be eligible for entry into the program. Employment period begins immediately following the completion of preceptorship. Once enrolled, this position requires students to attend all scheduled clinical, laboratory and didactic sessions. Students must pass all skills labs and module quizzes with a min. of 80% score. Students must obtain their CNA license within 120 days of course completion. Prior to issuance of their permanent license Nursing Assist in training students can work under the supervision of a licensed CNA as an Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP) with a limited scope of practice.
Once students have completed their coursework and obtained permanent CNA license, they will be eligible to promote to CNA I position.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: (The following are minimal qualifications necessary for entry into this classification)
Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience: Previous healthcare experience preferred.
Certifications: Basic Life Insurance (BLS) and TEAM/BERT certifications required within 90 days of hire.
Licenses: n/a
Other: Must be 18 years of age by the first day of classes. Must be English proficient (the ability to read, write, speak and/or understand English)
