Bartlett Regional Hospital is searching for an experienced professional to join our Case Management team as our RN Case Manager - Clinical Documentation Integrity Lead.
Starting Wage: $47.18 / hourly, depending on experience
The Clinical Documentation Integrity Lead at Bartlett Regional Hospital reports to the Case Management Director, under leadership of the Chief Financial Officer. The individual works independently, without direct supervision, and is an expert in a specialty area of Clinical Documentation Integrity. They operate in a collaborative, inspirational environment while working with the interdisciplinary medical team and the HIM and Quality Departments.
The incumbent utilizes advanced knowledge of clinical care, documentation review and coding experience to lead the CDI team in review of clinical documentation. Primary duties include:
• Overseeing the Clinical Documentation Integrity section of Case Management.
• Leading the CDI team, providing training and reviewing work for quality and accuracy.
• Educating professionals from a variety of disciplines utilizing multiple approaches to suit the audience.
• Performing comprehensive review of clinical documentation and identifying trends, systemic issues, and factors contributing to inaccurate data impacting revenue and patient safety.
This position may also perform case management duties as assigned by the Director.

Minimum Qualifications for the Job:
- Experience: Three (3) years of acute care nursing experience. Two (2) years must have included work applicable to the specialty area assigned to the position.
- Preferred Experience: One (1) year experience in utilization review, case management, clinical documentation review, quality management or similar role.
- License(s): Current State of Alaska Registered Nurse license (must meet education requirement(s) for Alaska State licensure).
- Certification(s):
- TEAM and BLS within three (3) months of appointment.
- Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS) or Certified Documentation Improvement Practitioner(CDIP) at time of appointment. Preferred: Coding certification (i.e.CPC, CCS).
