Summer Program:  Bartlett School & Assessment Center - Grades K-12

Dates/Hours:

June 30th - August 7th

Monday - Thursday

7:45 am - 2:15 pm

Subject to change based on student enrollment; start and stop times

Organizational Relationship

or Line of Authority:                       

Directly responsible to the Summer Coordinator and/or the Executive Director of Student Support Service and/or his/her designee

Statement of Duties:                        

• Assists daily in the teaching process and works directly with children under the direction and supervision of the classroom teacher to provide in-class support.
• Assists in implementing the treatment plans for various students in order to create a successful learning experience.
• Responsible for addressing student behavior and encouraging effort in the classroom.
• Assist in planning and preparing the learning environment, setting up classroom areas, and preparing materials and supplies.
• Assist in maintaining a neat and orderly classroom.
• Work as a member of a coordinated program team with other teachers and educational support personnel.
• Responsible for other general duties as indicated by the teacher, principal, supervisors/directors, directives of the Superintendent of Schools or his/her designee, and policies of the Haverhill School Committee.

Qualifications:                                 

• Passing Score on the Para Pro Test or other state approved assessment program or completion of 360 Professional Training Points or 48 credits
• Prefer prior experience with children in a school or similar setting.
• Bilingual Preferred
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent of Schools may find appropriate and acceptable.
