Summer Program:  Bartlett School & Assessment Center - Grades K-12

Dates/Hours:

June 30th - August 7th

Monday - Thursday

7:45 am - 2:15 pm

Subject to change based on student enrollment; start and stop times

Salary:

School year rate for current Job Coach employees; $27/hr for non-Job Coach employees.

Organizational Relationship

or Line of Authority:                       

Directly responsible to the Summer Coordinator and/or the Executive Director of Student Support Services and/or his/her designee

Statement of Duties:

• Work with children with Autism and PDD related Syndromes, ages 14 - 21.
• Participate as a member of the Evaluation Team when appropriate.
• Evaluate children who have been referred, developing appropriate reports and documents as required related to employment, community use and functional skill acquisition.
• Train classroom instructional Educational Support Personnel to work with identified students.
• Provide, as appropriate, materials for assigned students to function more successfully in the classroom, community, and job site.
• Work cooperatively with the Principal, other personnel, and with parents.
• Develop and monitor job sites, as needed.
• Other general duties as indicated by the Principal or Coordinator, directives of the Superintendent of Schools or his/her designees, and policies of the Haverhill School Committee.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of Associate’s Degree; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Previous teaching and/or successful experience working with students with autism in employment and community activities.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent of Schools may find appropriate and acceptable.
