As a Consulting Arborist within a Bartlett Tree Experts office, you will be a dedicated member of the local and divisional team with the primary responsibility of conducting tree inventories and tree risk assessments, collecting field data, and conducting additional consulting-related projects. You will also be responsible for writing management plans, tree risk mitigation reports, tree and shrub care plans, and other consulting reports.

Responsibilities
- Assist with creation and review of proposals and scopes of work, including for complex projects, with the Arborist Representative prior to beginning each work assignment
- Have the ability to collect tree attributes including the assessment of tree health, vigor, structure, and provide arboricultural recommendations
- Have the ability to plan and manage multiple-person teams for large projects
- Perform tree risk assessments, including advanced assessments using advanced assessment techniques, equipment, and software
- Prepare management plans and tree and shrub care plans, using Microsoft Office, ArborScope™, and data collection software
- Prepare additional consulting-related reports, using Microsoft Office, ArborScope™, and data collection software
- Interact with Arborist Representatives and clientele in order to help ensure job satisfaction
- Have the ability to train and mentor other Consulting Arborists, Associate Consulting Arborists, and Field Consulting Arborists in consulting practices and procedures
- Interact with Consulting Arborists and Consulting Advisors throughout Bartlett
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of related experience in the tree care industry
- ISA Arborist Certification or similar state certification
- ISA Tree Risk Assessment Qualification
- ASCA Registered Consulting Arborist or ability to obtain
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail/proofreading ability
- Highly organized with excellent time management skills
- Familiarity with tree inventory applications, GIS and/or CAD
- Experience with report writing
- Ability to identify trees and shrubs common to the region, diagnose pests and diseases, and recommend corrective action or proactive management plans
- Valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle record
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Degree in Arboriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, Environmental Science, Plant Science, or a related field is preferred but not required
