Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive mental health care to patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standards of care in a supportive environment.
Duties
Initial addiction/psych admission - Evaluation takes 45 minutes initially, they then set up follow ups for either weekly or every other week following (determined between provider and patient) Will be seeing addiction
there are 16 detox beds and 24 residential - New Facility not currently full
detox are regularly rounded on and then the residents are rounded on occasion
provider would also be needed to be available for calls after hours if need be (1-4 calls a month on average) only for questions or adjustments will not need to come back in.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing.
- Current certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
- Strong skills in medical documentation and familiarity with eClinicalWorks software.
- Experience in performing physical examinations and managing medical-surgical conditions.
- Proficient in conducting medical imaging assessments.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Previous experience in assisted living or similar settings is preferred.
