Job Summary:
Barton & Gray Mariners Club revolutionized Yachting with a fleet of 80 Hinckley & Custom Yachts. The Club is seeking an experienced Marine Carpenter who will be responsible for the layout, new construction and repair of interior joinery and other associated vessel parts; additional duties include assistance with
general marine systems repairs.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Diagnose and recommend appropriate repairs for malfunction issues
• Diagnose and conduct repair work of interior boat joinery and parts
• Cut, assemble and install various boat parts including doors, paneling, rails and trim
• Fabricate custom and install prefabricated boat parts including hardware and seating
• Meet project and budget timelines
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe work area
Other duties as assigned
Required Skills & Abilities:
• Ability to work independently
• Proficient in basic math fractions for measurements and calculations
• Must have reliable transportation
Valid, unencumbered drivers license
Preferred Education and Experience:
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum five years of Marine Carpentry experience preferred
Organized and self motivated
Physical Requirements:
• No disturbance in sense of balance, ability to get on and off boats both in and out of the
water
• Ability to climb up and down vertical stairways and ladders
• Ability to step over a doorsill or combing of 24 inches in height
• Ability to move into and out of small spaces that may require crouching, kneeling or crawling
• Ability to lift 50 pounds from the ground and be able to carry, push or pull the same load
Ability to stand intermittently with minimal rest periods for eight hours
Salary : $22 - $30
