What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dock Hand position at Barton & Gray Mariners Club?
Job Summary:
This position is offered as seasonal full-time or part-time, working directly the Barton & Gray’s captain team to support the day to day needs of the port including vessel cleaning and coordination of onboard provisions. This position will work with multiple departments within Barton & Gray to facilitate the port running smoothly and ensure a high quality member experience.
Responsibilities:
- Assist captains with removing mooring covers.
- Assist captains with the turnover and cleaning of boats in between watches.
- Prepare boats for scheduled outings.
- Maintain cleanliness of the yachts: wash, polish chrome, clean teak floors, clean engine compartments, replace oil sorbs as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Evening, weekend and holiday availability required.
- Strong organization and communication skills.
- Ability to work on a team and independently.
Ability to lift 25 pounds.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
