Barton House is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Resident Aide to join our team in providing exceptional care to our residents. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with disabilities, including those with memory care needs. As a Resident Aide, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by assisting them with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and safety.
Duties
- Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing, while promoting dignity and independence.
- Support residents with mobility needs, including lifting and transferring individuals safely.
- Engage residents in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents. Maintain cleanliness and organization in resident living areas to ensure a safe environment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while providing care.
Qualifications
- Experience working in a personal care facility is preferred.
- Familiarity with individuals with memory impairments.
- Ability to lift and assist residents safely, demonstrating proper techniques for mobility support.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.
- Compassionate attitude towards caring for individuals.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
