For more than 60 years, Barton & Loguidice, D.P.C. has served the engineering needs of municipal, industrial and institutional clients across the northeast. We are a growing multi-disciplined firm of professional engineers, architects, environmental scientists, planners and landscape architects with offices throughout New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Connecticut and Maine. B&L specializes in transportation engineering, water supply, wastewater management, solid waste management, land planning and site design, environmental services and facilities engineering. We are looking for bright, motivated candidates to join one of the leading consulting engineering firms in the northeast.
We are currently seeking a team-oriented, hard-working, and motivated Campus Recruiter / Talent Acquisition Specialist for a full-time position to be based in our Syracuse office.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Leading our college recruiting and internship program by attending college career fairs, interacting with students and promoting B&L’s employer brand;
- Hosting in-house and high school career day events for high school/college students and recent graduates to learn more about B&L’s practice areas and expertise;
- Coordinating with hiring managers across the company to understand B&L’s entry-level and intern needs and working with them to develop a customized recruiting approach;
- Screening resumes, conducting interviews and facilitating Harrison assessments for entry-level and internship positions;
- Reporting on recruiting metrics after every careers event and interview (resumes received, candidates interviewed, candidates hired, etc.);
- Building and maintaining relationships with universities and other educational institutions by contacting career centers and counselors and providing informative materials about B&L’s entry-level and internship needs; and
- Assisting B&L with other recruiting efforts as needed.
Candidates should have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a related field, and 0-5 years of recruiting or general HR experience. Experience in the architectural & engineering industry, professional services, or other high tech service area is a plus, but not required. Candidates should have the ability to travel and attend anywhere between 10-20 career events within the northeast.
Candidates must have excellent “people skills”, be organized and detail-oriented. Experience working with internet-based recruiting tools (e.g., job boards) and social networking tools (e.g., LinkedIn) is a huge plus. The ability to communicate effectively and foster strong relationships with employees, management and applicants is a must. This position requires the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality, tact, and professionalism.
Estimated Pay Range: $60,000 - $75,000/year.
Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience, geographical location and market conditions, education/training, certifications, and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
