We are currently seeking an Industrial Hygienist I to work in our Utica or Syracuse, NY office. Applicant should have 5-10 years of experience in similar roles. Duties include:
- Conduct asbestos/lead-based paint inspections, surveys, abatement monitoring, and environmental sampling, industrial hygiene sampling, and indoor air quality services;
- Conduct IH surveys to assess chemical, physical, and biological hazards, such as worker personal breathing zone sampling for airborne contaminants or noise monitoring;
- Support in-house industrial hygiene monitoring and safety equipment and maintenance;
- Participate in indoor environmental quality investigations or survey;
- Sample soil, water, air, and waste materials;
- Perform data analysis and reporting based on review of technical data;
- Conduct environmental site evaluations and assist in preparation of follow-up reports; and
- Complete other tasks as necessary for client projects or to support internal technical requirements.
Applicants should have an A.S. or a B.S. in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or other related field, or a combination of applicable coursework and experience. NYS asbestos certifications (AST/PM/INS), EPA lead inspector certifications required and other OSHA training a plus. Experience with AutoCAD is preferred. Candidates must have solid computer and writing skills, strong communication skills, and the ability to interface with a variety of clients. This position requires the willingness to work outdoors in all types of weather and the availability to be assigned to potential extended field assignments. This position also requires frequent carrying, lifting, and transfer of equipment/material.
Estimated Pay Range: $23 – 28/hour.
Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience, geographical location and market conditions, education/training, certifications, and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.

Salary : $23 - $28
