We are a growing multi-disciplined firm of professional engineers, environmental scientists, planners and landscape architects with offices throughout New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Connecticut and Maine. B&L specializes in transportation engineering, water supply, wastewater management, solid waste management, land planning and site design, environmental services and facilities engineering. We are looking for bright, motivated candidates to join one of the leading consulting engineering firms in the northeast.
We are currently seeking a team-oriented, hard-working, and motivated Environmental Scientist for a full-time position with our Ecology Group. This position would be based in our Rochester Office.
Responsibilities will include a mixture of office and field activities (average year results in 75% office, 25% field), and will involve the following: environmental permitting and regulatory assistance and coordination, completing and leading field delineations of wetland boundaries, stream restoration data collection, wildlife habitat assessments, vegetative surveys, report writing, environmental review processing and funding support assistance – all on a wide variety of projects predominantly located across New York State. Knowledge of state and federal environmental regulations, including SEQRA, NEPA, Clean Water Act, and NYS ECL is beneficial, as is having good vegetation identification skills.
