Barton & Loguidice, D.P.C., is a growing, multi-disciplined consulting firm of professional engineers, environmental professionals, and planners with a talent pool of more than 400 employees that have been meeting the needs of municipal, state, industrial and institutional clients across the northeast and mid-Atlantic states for more than 60 years. We are seeking a dynamic, self-motivated candidate to help assist in the growth of our Portland, Maine office. Responsibilities:
Duties primarily include engineering related to bridge/culvert and highway design projects. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Project oversight and delivery, preparation/review of plans and specifications, and client communications and meetings.
- Project coordination with technical quality control and oversight involving most if not all the types of tasks listed below:Providing conceptual input on the development of design projects.
- Preparation of design plans, calculations, details and public bidding documents.
- Providing quality control reviews of design.
- Proficient in technical writing.
- Potential for field review of construction progress at construction milestones.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in civil/structural engineering with 8-12 years consulting experience in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Maine.
- Experience delivering transportation related projects with local and state government agencies in Maine and/or other New England States.
- Experience with bridge projects.
- Proficiency with Microstation
- Knowledge of Open Roads Designer a plus but not required.
- Ability to mentor younger staff
Estimated Pay Range: $100,000 - $120,000/year.
Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience, geographical location and market conditions, education/training, certifications, and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
