Job Title : Cold Heading Set Up Operator
Shift : 1st Shift (6 : 00 AM - 4 : 00 PM)
Location : Addison, IL
Job Type : Direct Hire
Pay Range : $22 - $40 per hour (based on experience)
About the Role :
We are seeking a highly skilled Cold Heading Set Up Operator to join our team. This direct hire position offers the opportunity to work for a leading manufacturer of industrial components that serve industries such as medical, aerospace, energy, and automotive. In this role, you will operate and maintain production equipment, specifically Cold Heading or Roll Threading Machines, to produce high-quality parts that meet customer needs.
Key Responsibilities :
- Operate and troubleshoot single and multi-blow cold heading machines
- Read and interpret blueprints proficiently
- Perform preventative maintenance before and after tooling changes
- Inspect tooling, set up, and make adjustments to ensure quality parts
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Repair and maintain tools and dies as needed
- Safely operate a lift truck (lift truck license preferred)
- Load coils onto the spool rack
- Mentor and train less experienced operators
- Complete routine production and quality reports
- Ensure compliance with all safety practices and regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned
