Role Overview:

The Commercial Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for rebar and post-tension materials. This role requires strong analytical skills, industry expertise, and the ability to work collaboratively with customers, engineers, and project managers to support successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Estimating: Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for rebar and post-tension materials, ensuring alignment with project specifications and requirements.
• Project Analysis: Review project plans, specifications, and technical documents to assess material needs and project scope.
• Cost Management: Evaluate material costs, labor, and delivery schedules to create competitive and precise bids.
• Collaboration: Work closely with contractors, engineers, and project managers to clarify requirements and address technical questions.
• Bid Submission: Prepare and submit bids on time, ensuring compliance with project deadlines and client expectations.
• Market Awareness: Stay informed about industry trends, pricing, and competitor offerings to maintain Barton’s competitive edge.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids, and project details in company systems.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in estimating for rebar, post-tension, or related construction materials is required.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with a high attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective client and team collaboration.
• Self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
