Key Responsibilities
- Perform medical examinations on a PRN basis, as needed
- Candidates with specialties in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine are welcome
- Two options for coverage: travel to a leased facility or schedule veterans within your own practice
- Flexible scheduling: work 4-hour days or full 8-hour days, Monday to Friday, with no weekends or call
- Conduct one-time non-treatment C&P exams and separation health assessments
- Exams involve interviews and physical assessments, including range of motion testing and muscle strength testing
- No prescribing or treatment involved
Requirements
- Familiarity with musculoskeletal, diabetes, and cardiovascular conditions
- Proficiency in METs testing, evaluating, and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions
- Possession of a personal laptop (Windows-based)
- Ability to complete Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) within 48 hours of exam completion
- Willingness to perform record reviews and administrative tasks, including addendums, medical opinions, and reading diagnostics
