Job Title: Primary Care Provider Opportunity
The position of Primary Care Provider is available with a private company providing medical disability examination and evaluation services to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
This opportunity is available on a PRN basis, offering ongoing coverage. We are willing to accept candidates with backgrounds in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine, as well as those with experience in compensation and pension.
Candidates will have two options for coverage: travel to leased facilities or schedule veterans within their own practice. The ability to work days (4 hours) and/or full days (8 hours) is also an option. No weekends and no call are required.
Exams are primarily interview-based with some physical assessment, including range of motion testing and muscle strength testing. No prescribing or treatment is involved. Quick credentialing and onboarding are provided, along with the opportunity to obtain DMA certification and earn CME credits.
Familiarity with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardio conditions is required. Proficiency in METs testing, evaluating, and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions is also necessary. Candidates must use a personal laptop (non-MAC) and be trained on Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs).
Administrative work, including addendums, medical opinions, and reading diagnostics, will be required on a regular basis. Compensation includes competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
