Healthcare Organization : Urgent crisis center- The Urgent Crisis Center provides immediate (no appointment necessary) care to children and teens experiencing a mental health or behavioral health crisis. This can look like thoughts of suicide or self-injury, feelings of depression, anxiety, or hopelessness, out-of-control behaviors, substance misuse, or any other mental health crisis. Who is this program for? Children and youth, ages 4-18, experiencing an active and urgent mental health crisis.
Opportunity : Locums (Contractor) PMHNP for Urgent Crisis Center Coverage
Start Date / Duration : ASAP; ongoing contract
Schedule : Monday - Friday, 5pm - 10pm (swing shift) or Monday - Thursday 5pm - 10pm. Saturdays available if interested, 10am - 6pm. 20-25 hours per week

Coverage at urgent crisis center in New London providing care to children and teens experiencing a mental or behavioral health crisis, average ages 4 - 18 years of age
Patients spend about 3 hours on average at the center and can be held up to 23 hours max
PMHNP will work with an interdisciplinary team of BH workers. PMHNP will provide consults, evaluations, and small case load of med mgmt. patients. Current weekly census is 12-16 and working on moving to 20-30 patients during the week
