BAS, LLC is looking to fill an Executive Assistant role at a Government Agency located in Washington, DC (near L'Enfant Plaza). The position is hybrid, with 3-4 in-office days per week, and 1-2 remote days per week. The ideal candidate will provide top-level assistance for high level executives. They should be well-organized and be comfortable scheduling meetings and responding to emails on the executive's behalf. Lastly, this individual should be able to draft documents and help the executive with any necessary meeting preparations.
Background:
BAS, LLC and the candidate will support the Government client in developing and issuing agency-wide financial policy; issuing agency-wide travel policy and overseeing the travel card program for travel card holders; overseeing business systems including the financial system and the purchasing/acquisition system, and all accounting operations including processing of all financial transactions; overseeing and administering system of financial internal controls; preparing external financial reports such as the agency’s financial statements and the award-winning annual Performance and Accountability Report; performing analysis of financial data to ensure its integrity; and managing the agency’s entire financial statements audit process.
Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for an Executive Assistant at BAS, LLC in Washington, DC. The role involves supporting executives with administrative tasks, conducting business analysis to identify opportunities for improvement, and collaborating with teams to enhance business processes. The candidate will assist the client in its financial management responsibilities with a primary focus on providing administrative support and office management services to the Director and Deputy Director, with limited support to other executives and occasional support in a backup capacity to the Chief Financial Officer.
Responsibilities include administrative and management functions for the client, including developing and monitoring travel and training budgets; reviewing and processing correspondence; monitoring deadlines of the directorate to ensure compliance; preparing administrative reports such as a weekly activities report (preparing such reports typically includes accumulating inputs from various directorates into the appropriate reporting format); monitoring compliance of the directorate with mandatory agency training requirements; managing the calendar of the director, and supporting logistical requirements of the agency’s external financial statement auditors. The candidate should be able to independently troubleshoot “help” calls from the Director, managers, and employees of the directorate on a wide variety of administrative system and process matters such as access to and use of the travel system, access to agency systems while teleworking, use of the purchasing application, access to/use of the timekeeping system, and completion of training requests.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 7 years of experience in relation to functional responsibilities

- Well-organized, detail-oriented, ability to multi-task with great follow-up skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
