Base is looking for a Last Mile Delivery Driver who will be responsible for the final leg of the delivery process, ensuring that goods are delivered to customers' residences or businesses in a timely and professional manner. This role also involves picking up items as required, interacting with customers, and maintaining accurate delivery logs.
Responsibilities :
- Delivering Products : Safely and efficiently deliver packages or goods to residential and business addresses, ensuring all items are handled with care.
- Equipment : Safely operating an electric powered pallet jack to move pallets in and out of the truck.
- Customer Interaction : Provide excellent customer service when delivering products, answering questions, and addressing concerns as needed.
- Pickup Tasks : Perform pickups from customers, ensuring any return items are properly accounted for and in good condition. Ensuring that the customers yard is free from any trash or debris
- Route Management : Plan and follow the most efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
- Vehicle Maintenance : Maintain a clean, safe, and organized delivery vehicle. Perform basic maintenance checks, ensuring the vehicle is in good working order.
- Documenting Deliveries : Accurately record delivery information, including times and addresses, on delivery apps or paperwork.
- Inventory Management : Occasionally assist with loading and unloading products in the vehicle, ensuring all items are accounted for.
- Safety Compliance : Follow all safety protocols for both driving and product handling.
- Reporting Issues : Communicate any issues or delays in the delivery process, including damages, missing items, or road obstacles, to supervisors or dispatchers.
