The Photographer will be responsible for regular on-site photo shoots in New York City, Nassau County, and Suffolk County. In this role, you will go to various photoshoot sites, meet with models, and execute on a specific goal. You will also be tasked with white background photography for our products to be added to our website. The Photographer will be a full-time, exempt role and will report directly to the Chief Content Officer.
Responsibilities
- Capture high-quality photographs and videos for various projects, including events, products, and promotional materials.
- Edit and retouch images using Adobe Creative Suite, ensuring the final product meets professional standards.
- Communicate with team, models, and locations to set up a time and place for a photoshoot.
- Maintain and manage photography equipment.
- Understand the overall goal for photoshoots; what the desired outcome is and how the content will be used.
- Use a variety of equipment, including cameras, lenses, lighting, and software, to take high-quality photos.
- Use photo-enhancing software to correct lighting, remove blemishes, and enhance the subject's appearance.
- Maintain a portfolio, archive and manage images, and prepare proofs for approval.
- Work with art teams, graphic designers, writers, and other professionals to meet deadlines.
- Keep up with industry trends, new techniques, and best practices.
