Job Summary
We are needing to add an enthusiastic Host/Server to our team for our new restaurant. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service while managing the flow of the restaurant. You will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring that every guest has a memorable dining experience. Hours are primarily Fri, Sat, and Sunday evenings for our dinner service.
Responsibilities
- Help Greet and seat guests promptly with a friendly demeanor.
- Help Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently to optimize seating arrangements.
- Take food and drink orders accurately using the POS system.
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely manner.
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene.
- Provide excellent guest services by addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders.
- Uphold hospitality standards to enhance the overall dining experience.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing tabs effectively.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is an advantage.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Familiarity with POS systems is beneficial but training will be provided as needed.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $13.00 - $18.00 per hour
