Overview
As a Basecamp Fitness Coach, you will be an essential part of a dynamic studio team that inspires, transforms, and empowers others to live healthier lives as the best version of themselves. You will be responsible for guiding members and guests through pre-designed interval training formats. Our company’s Coaches are high-energy, mission-driven individuals who are comfortable performing on stage. You will need to be a strong communicator that knows how to develop a personal connection, manage class intensity, and efficiently facilitate class flow. Additionally, you will need the knowledge and confidence to explain movements and quickly identify and correct exercise form to prevent injuries. Individuals in this position should be highly motivated to help people live healthier lives.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate a high-energy premium class experience that keeps our members coming back
- Fill classes and bring our brand’s programming to life
- Teach members how to get the most out of our unique workout and bring the community together by creating a “high-five your partner” class mentality
- Teach classes that challenge and engage a variety of fitness levels
- Correct exercise form to prevent injuries as well as provide appropriate modifications, progressions, and regressions for individual participants
- Collaborate with the front desk team to facilitate a premium experience for first-time guests
- Provide professional recommendations to link our brand’s programming with a guests’ fitness goals and abilities * Attend periodic team meetings and training
- Clean the equipment, bikes, and mat before and after class
Experience
- Minimum Education & Knowledge
- High school diploma or General Education Degree required
- Must hold and maintain a current fitness certification from an approved training program. Preferred certifications include: (NCAA accredited fitness certifications) ACSM, ACE, AFAA, NASM, NCSF, NESTA, NETA, NSCA, PTAG, CI
- Must hold and maintain a current CPR & AED certification
- Previous experience in group exercise is required

- Ability to create an immediate rapport with new clients and ongoing rapport with existing members
- Friendly, approachable, and genuinely interested in people
- A strong motivator who knows how to bring energy and keep a group connected throughout class
- Has a fundamental understanding of human physiology and exercise techniques, progressions, regressions, and modifications
- Effectively communicate and coach over a microphone to a large group
- The desire to train clients at all levels with a wide range of fitness goals
- Punctual and detail-oriented
- Self-starter; able to own the class from start to finish without management or supervision
- Accountable for positively impacting your studio’s community before, after, and during class
- The desire to collaborate; we teach as individuals but work as a team
- Thrives in high-feedback environments; a desire to improve and enjoys being coached
- Excellent customer service and verbal communications
