Basecamp Fitness delivers a 35-minute, hyper-efficient workout that emphasizes strength, cardio, and core. Basecamp provides a low-impact, but high-energy workout, wherein you get leaner, stronger, faster in just 35 minutes. As a Basecamp Fitness Coach, you will be responsible for guiding Basecamp members and guests through pre-designed interval training formats. Basecamp Coaches are high-energy, mission-driven individuals who are comfortable performing on stage. Successful coaches are strong communicators that know how to develop personal connection, manage class intensity, and efficiently facilitate class flow. Additionally, Basecamp coaches need the knowledge and confidence to quickly identify and correct exercise form to prevent injuries. Duties & Responsibilities
- Must facilitate a high-energy premium experience that keeps our members coming back daily. Coaches are responsible for filling their classes and bringing Basecamp’s programming to life
- Create a great impression for first time guests. Must be able to juggle the needs of a first timers while continuing to challenge veteran Basecamp members
- Must understand and be able to explain Basecamp’s training programs and the science that supports the Basecamp Fitness workouts
- Responsible for guiding Basecamp members and guests through pre-designed interval training formats
- Developing personal connection with members and new guests, managing class intensity, and efficiently facilitating class flow
- Quickly identifying and correcting exercise form to prevent injuries
- Willing to attend periodic team meetings and training
- Coaches are expected to work as a team with the front desk to facilitate a premium experience for first time guests. This includes “handoffs” at the start of class and “hand backs” and the end of class. Coaches need to be able to provide modifications for injuries and individual programming recommendations that align with a guest’s fitness goals
- Additional duties based on studio specific needs
Required Qualifications Minimum Education & Knowledge
- High school diploma or General Education Degree required
- Must hold and maintain a current fitness certification from a Basecamp Fitness approved training program. Preferred certification (NCAA accredited fitness certifications) ACSM, ACE, AFAA, NASM, NCSF, NESTA, NETA, NSCA, PTAG, CI
- Must hold and maintain a current CPR & AED certification Minimum Work Experience
- One year of experience leading group workouts preferred
- On-microphone teaching experience preferred
Physical Demands and Environmental Conditions
- Fitness Coaches are leaders of the Basecamp Fitness workouts. This requires them to talk, hear, and remain on their feet while leading and instructing members for the entirety of the workout. In the weight room, coaches must demonstrate all exercises for members which can involve bosu balls, medicine balls, dumbbells, TRX straps, barbells, kettlebells, plyo boxes, ladders, resistance bands. Must be able to safely lift and move all studio equipment. Physical effort required for daily duties also include bending, squatting, reaching, spotting, and re-racking weights.
- Willing and able to work nights, weekends and holidays
