Cleaning - Intern

Job Summary:

Basecamp Recovery Center is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Facilities Intern to assist with maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment throughout the facility. This internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in building maintenance while supporting the overall well-being of our center.

Core Responsibilities:

Must be reliable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic.
Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and willingness to take initiative.
Comfortable working in a treatment center environment and maintaining professional boundaries.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
Must adhere to Basecamp Recovery Center’s policies, including confidentiality and workplace conduct standards.
Compliance with all facility guidelines, including HIPAA regulations.

Job Duties:

Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting in common areas, offices, and restrooms.
Empty trash and recycling bins and ensure proper disposal.
Sanitize high-touch surfaces to maintain a hygienic environment.
Assist with light maintenance tasks such as restocking supplies, minor repairs, and reporting any facility issues.
Maintain the cleanliness of outdoor spaces, including walkways and entrances.
Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for staff and patients.
Communicate any concerns or maintenance needs to the supervisor in a timely manner.

Education and Experience:

Performed routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors to maintain cleanliness.
Sanitized and disinfected high-touch surfaces such as doorknobs, light switches, and common areas.
Managed trash removal and ensured proper disposal of waste materials.
Cleaned and restocked restrooms, including replenishing supplies such as soap and paper products.
Maintained inventory of cleaning supplies and reported low stock levels as needed.
Followed safety protocols and used appropriate cleaning chemicals per guidelines.
Assisted with setting up and tidying common areas for daily operations.
