Clinical Director

Job Summary:

Responsible for the clinical management and coordination of all programs within Basecamp Recovery Center. This person develops, directs, and supervises clinical aspects of all treatment programs.  Also responsible for the hire, training, and evaluation of clinical services staff, to include termination where appropriate.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Develops, directs, supervises and evaluates all aspects of clinical care and treatment in the agency.  Provides planning of future patient services and implementation as needed.
• Reviews and approves patient admission assessments completed by clinical staff.
• Provides consultation, supervision and training to clinical staff on all aspects of clinical practices.
• Assists Human Resources in interviewing applicants for open clinical services department positions as requested. Assists Human Resources in terminating the employment of clinical services department staff when necessary.
• Evaluates the performance of the clinical team on an annual basis.  Signs off on all annual performance evaluations. 
• Ensures regular reviews of individual patient records are conducted to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with industry standards.
• Monitors agency clinical policies and procedures for all programming to ensure compliance with requirements of various funders and applicable laws.
• Ensures the efficient planning and effective delivery of clinical services, clinical caseload management, admission procedures, and clinical services to meet patient needs.
• Provides individual and group supervision to clinical staff.
• Assist clinical team in finding coverage of clinical services to individuals and groups, in the absence of available clinical staff.
• Provide backup administrative services when required.
• Oversees continuous quality improvement of the agency’s utilization review, peer review, clinical records and risk management in conjunction with the Chief Operating Officer
• Monitors the treatment progress of patients, recommends appropriate treatment techniques when necessary, and assists in identifying and appropriately addressing transference issues of patients and staff members.  
• Attends daily Clinical Staffing Meetings with the clinical team to facilitate peer support, share information regarding patient’s treatment, and address programming and administrative issues.  Provides input and direction whenever needed.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

• Graduate degree in Counseling, Social Work or related field required
• LISW-S, LPCC-S or LICDC-CS required
• 3 years of administration and supervision of clinical service delivery required
• 5 years of counseling experience required
• 5 years of treatment team experience required
