What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Specialist position at Basesix?
Basesix is currently looking for a Human Resources Specialist to join our team. The HR Specialist will partner with our HR Director and Recruiter as well as other leadership to provide HR services such as employee benefits and payroll processing for our employees. This role includes daily communication with employees and vendors and provides administrative support.
Skills and Responsibilities

Assisting with processing biweekly hourly payroll for 90 employees and biweekly salaried payroll for 85 employees including payout of commissions

Coordinating payroll processing for expense reimbursements and per diem payments
- Coordinating supervisors' approval of employee time
- Running, building and reviewing reports for hourly payroll calculations

Assisting HR vendor with processing bonus and on-call technician payrolls

Assisting with tracking and payment of employee referral bonuses. Track the referrals, express thanks to the employee referring and pay out the referral bonuses

Maintaining digital storage and records of employees including updates of employee information in our software system

Serving as point of contact with our benefit vendors. Updating employee information and addressing employee questions.

Assisting with management of the performance review process. Coordinate the timing of reviews, scheduling and documentation

Conducting first day of employment orientation with new employees in one office location

Planning and organization of quarterly community service activities for all office locations

Organization and planning of office outings for all locations

Conducting the onboarding process for all new employees including processing background checks, drug screens, ordering new equipment

Conducting the offboarding process for employees leaving Basesix, including termination in the payroll and benefits systems and other items

Coordination of wellness initiatives with our benefits partners

Serving as liaison between Basesix and 49 Financial (401k plan advisors)
Qualifications

Three years of experience in a Human Resources role, experience with benefits, 401k plans, and payroll preferred

Bachelors degree in related field

Knowledge and experience with HR benefits and payroll processes

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Proven ability to relate and communicate with employees across the organization
