Objectives of the Position:
- To manage tax reporting, accounts payables, financial reporting and general accounting work following the accepted accounting and business controlling principles.
- To ensure continuous improvements of all related reports, systems, and processes.
Main Areas of Responsibilities and Key Activities:
- Prepare various documents and summary related to creditable withholding tax, value-added tax, and importation.
- Generate various reports to meet regulatory requirements being prepared by the external tax consultant. Assist in Electronic Filing and Payment System (EFPS) for BIR requirements.
- Assist in audit findings/ assessments and prepares relevant audit documents.
- Understand and analyze weekly & monthly performance reports using SAP, Consolidated Business Reports, Cost Information System and Operational Controlling for Earnings and Net Sales to support industry team to improve profitability, cost management and business performance. These reports include Open Orders, Sales Performance, consolidated Contribution Margin/consolidation Gross Margin, Fixed costs and Country Contributions.
- Assist in the annual operational planning process by preparing planning templates, consolidating all data needed for target setting and profitability analysis.
- Prepare Journal Vouchers and instruct the Shared Service Center for GL account clearing.
- Assist on document printing, e.g., contracts and memoranda of agreement with third-party service providers and vendors to facilitate contract signing.
- Upload and monitor status of contracts in the Contract Management Information Tool system for efficient contract management.
- Coordinate with Shared Service Accounts Payable team and local Accounts Payable team in resolving supplier billing issues to minimize delays in processing of payments.
- Prepare the summary of vendor items for accrual.
- Serve as back-up for Work Cycle system, which is used in monitoring problematic supplier invoices, and provide assistance to system users.
- Serve as back-up for Chrome River employee claims and advances to ensure that there are no delays in processing claims and advances.
- Serve as back-up for Non-Trade Portal used for inter-company non-trade transactions and Debit Note-Credit Note billing to customers, handles monthly billing to affiliates, provides assistance and training to system users.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate of Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Preferably a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or graduate of an overseas university.
- With at least 3 years of work experience in Finance and Accounting, working with a lean team preferably in a multi-national company or large local companies. Experience in SAP Finance modules preferred.
- Knowledgeable of accounting and treasury concepts and principles.
- With high achievement-orientation as well as strong analytical thinking skills.
- Have good organizational skills, and ability to multitask and prioritize work.
- Possess excellent communication skills and team player ability; with high level of proficiency in written and spoken English.
- With high degree of motivation, adaptability, professionalism, and integrity at work.
- Proficient in Windows and MS Office applications with advanced skills in MS Excel. Proficiency in MS PowerPoint and PowerBI is an advantage.
