As a Lab Development Chemist, you will play a key role in developing and optimizing processes within the global BASF Agricultural portfolio of pesticides. You will collaborate closely with Research Chemists, Quality Control personnel, and Operations Engineers to ensure quality control and enhance production efforts. Your work will have a significant impact on the organization by driving innovation, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations, ultimately contributing to the long-term sustainability of our portfolio.

- Executing routine laboratory reactions to support process optimization and conducting thorough analyses of data to troubleshoot and refine experimental setups.
- Maintaining laboratory equipment and enforce good housekeeping practices by adhering to established maintenance procedures and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Analyzing current processes, proposing enhancements, and collaborating with technology leadership to conduct lab-scale testing.
- Communicating effectively with stakeholders by providing regular project updates, discussing results, and presenting findings to peers, customers, and management.
- Ensuring meticulous documentation by maintaining accurate and organized lab notebooks, following guidelines for data recording, sample labeling, and archiving experimental procedures and results.
If you...
- Have a Master's degree in Chemistry, or a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related science with a minimum of 3 years of experience in laboratory settings.
- Possess a solid understanding of good laboratory practices, including knowledge of chemical glassware and techniques, to ensure effective and safe experimentation.
- Have proven ability to execute standard operating procedures with minimal guidance, demonstrating strong planning skills to manage multiple assignments.
- Showcase excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with peers, customers, and management, ensuring clarity in project updates and findings.
- Have strong attention to detail and accuracy in conducting experiments and recording data, essential for maintaining quality control and compliance with industry standards.
- Are able to travel up to 5%, domestically and possibly internationally
