Maintenance Manager –Chattanooga, TN
To provide professional maintenance engineering and maintenance management support for Chattanooga Site latex operations primarily in the area of site maintenance, equipment reliability, predictive and preventive maintenance, capital projects, contracts for engineering and construction services, plant energy and efficiency improvements, and maintenance management of safe operations. The job also requires the integration of the site procedures and Technical Standards with BASF Corporate requirements.

- Improve plant equipment reliability and performance through the analysis of maintenance SAP data and make recommendations for improvement.
- Collection and analysis of maintenance and stores KPI’s.
- Lead the Site Maintenance Reliability Team to continuously improve plant reliability and availability.
- Develop plant standards, procedures, and preventive/predictive maintenance plans for equipment inspection and repair in compliance with all local, state, and federal requirements.
- Ensure compliance with BASF Technical Standards.
- Facilitate communications between Production, Maintenance, and Engineering Department.
- Manage construction activities and groups for site.
- Support and continually apply Quality Improvement policies and procedures.
Ingredients for Success…what we look for in you…
- BS Degree in Engineering, Science (or related field) is preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience with 5 in a manufacturing environment and 2 years of leadership experience (preferred) or equivalent experience.
- Ensure compliance to standards, enforcement of standards – compliance (OSHA PSM); sensitive issues (Safety importance – PSM/RMP)
- Production, EHS, Plant Equipment Maintenance knowledge – BASF technical standards
- Diversity of tasks, problems – equipment operation/maintenance; compliance regulations (ISO, OSHA/RCMS)
- A sound knowledge of pertinent local, state, and federal codes and regulations is required.
- The incumbent should also be a self-starter, possess strong interpersonal communication skills and be able to work in a team-based environment.
- Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance technique is also required.
- Extensive and detailed knowledge and use of multiple SAP tasks and reporting is required.
