Summer Mechanical Engineering Internship
We are seeking highly motivated undergraduate students to participate in a 10-12 week summer internship program at our Freeport site.
As a Summer Mechanical Engineering Intern, you will be exposed to the leadership, technical, and scientific aspects of plant engineering, while also working in areas of safety and environment to uphold our high standards.
You will have the opportunity to apply your education and background to challenging assignments that build both technical and professional skills.
The internship program is designed to provide hands-on experience with unparalleled networking and development opportunities designed to accelerate your career at BASF.
Program Requirements:
- Undergraduate and graduate students majoring in Mechanical Engineering
- College Sophomores and Juniors (April 2026 - July 2027 grads)
- Demonstrated academic achievement (Minimum GPA 3.0)
- Authorization to work in the U.S. now and in the future without restrictions or need for future sponsorship
- Demonstrated previous leadership experience & academic achievement
- Active participation in extracurricular activities and on-campus organizations
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Outstanding work ethic and leadership potential
- Previous internship/co-op experience is a plus
