As a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor, you create chemistry by...
- Ensuring safety compliance and promote safe working practices and behaviors among Maintenance personnel.
- Developing and implement goals for staff and execution teams, monitor effectiveness, and provide coaching to meet objectives.
- Coaching and training the Daily Support Team (DST) to support development needs and ensure successful job assignments.
- Providing technical expertise for critical maintenance, offering guidance to crafts, planners, schedulers, and coordinators, and staying updated on current technology and practices
- Managing personnel including discipline, conflict resolution, rule enforcement, change management, and effective communication.
- Facilitating maintenance work processes and activities, ensuring safe and effective execution of routine, turnaround, and outage maintenance.
- Driving first-time repair quality and monitor team efficiency and quality of work, removing barriers to maximize productivity.
- Supporting reliability targets and recommend actions to achieve committed results.
- 15 years in petrochemical maintenance with at least 5 years of proven leadership.
- Broad based, hands on knowledge and experience with various types of mechanical and/or instrument systems. Possess a good working knowledge of all maintenance crafts and a solid understanding of maintenance work processes.
- Deal effectively with the unknown and unexpected and possess the ability to handle non-routine and emergency activities, such as schedule breakers, plant shutdowns, start-up, commissioning, etc.
- Ability to communicate effectively with facts and figures along with the ability to influence, persuade and negotiate. Strong interpersonal skills are required in this position.
- Proven ability to motivate and challenge maintenance crafts.
- Knowledge and experience to provide technical guidance in the absence of support staff.
