Job Description
Arizona State Pharmacy Technician License and/or Training License required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist pharmacists with prescription filling and dispensing.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through efficient service.
- Comply with federal and state laws, as well as Arizona State Board of Pharmacy regulations.
- Provide counter services, including receiving prescriptions and checking patient information.
- Ring up sales on the register and complete transactions.
- Log third-party transactions properly.
- Offer advice on over-the-counter medications and healthy food products.
- Respond to phone calls professionally and provide telephone service.
- Take patient refill requests, call doctors' offices for refills, and direct calls to pharmacists or interns.
- Accept verbal authorization for refill prescriptions.
- Handle patient calls, transferring them to pharmacists or other departments as needed.
- Maintain computer patient files and prescription labels.
- Prepare prescriptions with pharmacist verification.
- Affix prescription labels, bag completed prescriptions, and place them in the pick-up section.
Additional duties may be assigned by management. Must be at least 18 years old.
