082 - Scan Team Member - Gold Canyon

Job Description: Our Scan Team Member will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our store. This individual will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including cashier duties, updating product pricing, and maintaining accurate use of UPC shelf tags, shelf signs, and display signs.

Responsibilities:

• Update product pricing throughout the general department of the store.
• Pull and utilize transmitted files of new items, discontinued items, and new pricing.
• Ensure all new shelf tags and signage are hung properly in a timely manner.
• Facilitate price checks, including sending relevant messages to the pricing integrity department.
• Maintain a positive and friendly attitude towards customers and fellow team members.
• Engage with customers through smiles and greetings, offer product information, provide selling suggestions, and give genuine thanks.
• Focus on providing fast and friendly customer service.
• Process cash register transactions, input product costs, give change, process checks, EBTs, WIC checks, refunds, product coupons, and gift certificates.
• Understand the importance of and monitor product pricing, signage, and placement, and the use of product shelf tags and accompanying UPC codes.
• Keep check stands and work areas clean, neat, and orderly.
• Stock store products, rotating them as necessary to ensure quality and safety.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
