Job Summary
As a Scan Team Member at Bashas', you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate product pricing and proper use of UPC shelf tags, shelf signs, and display signs. You will also engage with customers through smiles and greetings, offer product information, provide selling suggestions, and always give a genuine thank you. You will focus on providing fast and friendly customer service, process cash register transactions, input product costs, give back change, process checks, EBTs, WIC checks, refunds, product coupons, and gift certificates. Furthermore, you will monitor product pricing, signage, and placement, and the use of product shelf tags and accompanying UPC codes. You will keep clean, neat, and orderly check stands and work areas, and stock store products, rotating them as necessary to ensure quality and safety.

Must be 18 years of age. Must be 21 years of age for any position that serves alcohol. You must have a positive and friendly attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You should be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

- Ensuring all new shelf tags and signage are hung properly in a timely manner.
- Facilitating price checks, including sending pertinent messages to the pricing integrity department.
- Maintaining a positive and friendly attitude towards customers and fellow team members.
- Engaging with customers through smiles and greetings, offering product information, providing selling suggestions, and always giving a genuine thank you.
- Providing fast and friendly customer service.
- Processing cash register transactions, inputting product costs, giving back change, processing checks, EBTs, WIC checks, refunds, product coupons, and gift certificates.
