Job Description
As a Scan Team Member, you will be responsible for executing a wide variety of tasks throughout the store. Your duties will include updating product pricing, ensuring accurate product pricing, and properly using UPC shelf tags, shelf signs, and display signs. You will also be responsible for facilitating price checks, sending pertinent messages to the pricing integrity department, and maintaining a positive and friendly attitude towards customers and fellow team members. Additionally, you will engage with customers through smiles and greetings, offer product information, provide selling suggestions, and always give a genuine thank you. You will focus on providing fast and friendly customer service, processing cash register transactions, inputting product costs, giving back change, processing checks, EBTs, WIC checks, refunds, product coupons, and gift certificates. Furthermore, you will understand the importance of monitoring product pricing, signage, and placement, and the use of product shelf tags and accompanying UPC codes. You will keep clean, neat, and orderly check stands and work areas, and stock store products, rotating them as necessary to ensure quality and safety.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Must be 18 years of age. Must be 21 years of age for any position that serves alcohol. You must have a positive and friendly attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You should be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
