Job Responsibilities
As a Scan Team Member, your primary responsibilities will include updating product pricing, ensuring accurate product pricing, and properly using UPC shelf tags, shelf signs, and display signs. You will also facilitate price checks, send pertinent messages to the pricing integrity department, and maintain a positive and friendly attitude towards customers and fellow team members. In addition, you will engage with customers through smiles and greetings, offer product information, provide selling suggestions, and always give a genuine thank you. You will focus on providing fast and friendly customer service, process cash register transactions, input product costs, give back change, process checks, EBTs, WIC checks, refunds, product coupons, and gift certificates. Furthermore, you will monitor product pricing, signage, and placement, and the use of product shelf tags and accompanying UPC codes. You will keep clean, neat, and orderly check stands and work areas, and stock store products, rotating them as necessary to ensure quality and safety.
Key Performance Indicators
Successful candidates will demonstrate strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. They will also be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
