What are the responsibilities and job description for the Product Quality and Compliance Assistant position at Basic Resources, Inc.?
The Product Quality & Compliance Assistant will provide support operations for product compliance as required to meet Brand and Retailer standards, procedures, and policies.
Responsibilities:
- Gather and manage standards and requirements for specialty fiber claims i.e., Recycled Content, BCI Cotton, Organic fibers, etc.
- Develop and organize a storage strategy to maintain records
- Seek out training opportunities on relevant content, even if not specific to textiles.
- Provide training for vendors on what, how and when to submit
- Communicate and follow-up with vendors for renewed certifications and documentation as needed
- Review and provide comments on submitted documentation for Xinjiang cotton
- Maintain compliance documentation for TCPH requirements and COC
- Maintain and modify Master tracking document as required to track compliance activities and support new requirements. Ensure information is updated to keep teams informed of latest status.
- Use BVOS ECO-Records system to upload supporting documentation for Walmart sustainability
- Work with cross functional teams & vendors as needed to secure missing information.
- Troubleshoot/formulate response to identified issues; review proposed response with manager.
- Participate in workshops and seminars as recommended and share/apply learnings.
Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of online database programs
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- 1-2 years of experience in a Compliance position helpful but not required (industry flexible)
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Documenting and reporting skills
- Ability to communicate clearly to cross-functional partners
Annual salary range starting at $55,000.
