What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retail Planner position at Basic Resources, Inc.?
The Retail Planner will be responsible for facilitating the growth of their account base. This person will perform analysis at the macro (topline) and micro (by door/by style) level for our intimates business. You'll be working closely with account buyers/planners as well as internal cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Create and propose seasonal/annual financial plans to accounts with a clear strategy, in partnership with Sales
- Develop sales, inventory, and receipt ladder plans to drive both external and internal annual plans
- Communicate with the account planner and buyer regarding sales performance, risk or opportunities
- Analyze performance and make assortment recommendations and sales re-projections based on history and seasonal trend
- Analyze internal inventory and order reports to determine weekly/monthly inventory flow, optimal safety stock levels, and buy quantities needed to recover weeks of supply
- Collaborate with Sales and Demand planning in projecting monthly replenishment, receipt flow and markdowns based on seasonal trend
- Lead the preparation for account specific discussion in the weekly team meetings
- Develop presentation materials with financial metrics and actionable items for Account meetings
- Provide ad hoc analysis to help drive the business forward and/or address issues as they arise

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
- 3 years of experience in related role/industry
- Strong Excel and retail math skills (including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs)
- Strong PowerPoint skills
- SAP/IBP experience a plus
- Ability to multitask, be proactive, have a high sense of urgency, and adapt to change in priorities as needed
- Leadership and presentation skills
Annual salary range starting at $80,000
