Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Runner to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Food Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their orders promptly and accurately, contributing to an exceptional dining experience. This position requires strong customer service skills and the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff and servers.
Duties
- Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to the dining area efficiently and accurately.
- Assist servers by ensuring that all orders are complete before being served to guests.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the dining room and kitchen.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff regarding order status and any special requests from guests.
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables and resetting them for new guests.
- Adhere to food safety standards and regulations at all times.
- Assist in food preparation as needed, ensuring quality and presentation meet restaurant standards.
- Operate Point of Sale (POS) systems for order tracking when necessary.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with kitchen operations, including food preparation and safety protocols.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with guests and team members.
- Experience in banquet service or large event catering is a plus.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
