What are the responsibilities and job description for the Experience Server position at Basil Thai and Sushi?
Responsibilities:
- Greet and seat customers in a friendly and efficient manner
- Take food and drink orders accurately and promptly
- Provide menu recommendations and answer customer questions about the menu
- Use Hotsauce or something similar software.
- Upsell additional items, such as appetizers, desserts, or specialty drinks
- Deliver food and beverages to tables in a timely manner
- Ensure customer satisfaction by checking on tables regularly and addressing any concerns
- Clear tables and reset them for the next guests
- Assist with bussing duties as needed
- Operate POS system and handle cash register transactions accurately
- Handle cash and credit card payments, including making change and processing tips
Skills:
- Strong hospitality skills with a focus on providing excellent customer service
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and calculating bills
- Familiarity with restaurant operations and procedures
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively
