Team Member

Basin Climbing and Fitness is a brand new rock climbing gym in Waco, Texas. We are seeking part time Team Members who will be the heart of Basin and directly responsible for the customer experience. You will be helping to get a startup climbing gym off the ground and will play a major role in developing the culture of an exciting new business and community. We have created a job description for what we currently imagine will compose your initial areas of responsibility, but we are seeking individuals who are willing to learn and grow with the business. Responsibilities:

• Welcoming patrons as they arrive and ensuring the check in, orientation, and gear rental process flows smoothly
• Running orientations to educate and inform patrons about facility policies, rules, and climbing specific safety and techniques
• Maintaining facility cleanliness
• Walking the floor to engage with patrons and ensure all individuals are following proper personal-risk-management practices and educating patrons when they are not following proper personal-risk-management practices
• Inspecting and maintaining equipment
• Selling memberships, day passes, classes, and merchandise
• Helping to run events
• Providing exceptional customer service and creating an excellent customer experience by perceiving, meeting, and exceeding the needs of patrons
• Continually learning about rock climbing and related equipment, techniques, and more

Required Experience:

• 1 years in customer service

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in a leadership role
• Experience in the outdoor industry
• 1 years sales experience
• Knowledgeable about rock climbing

Part time hourly position, 12-25 hours per week
