Staff Accountant

Basin Holdings LLC is seeking a Staff Accountant. The Staff Accountant is a key member of the Corporate Accounting team. This role is responsible for maintaining various general ledgers and key accounts, preparing monthly financial statements including explanation of variances, formulating account reconciliations and roll forwards, and lease accounting/maintaining the lease software database for several entities.

Responsibilities

1. Assist with the closing activities, including the preparation and distribution of monthly and annual P&L, BS and CF statements
2. Calculate and process closing entries in line with agreed timelines for:
   1. Intercompany billings
   2. Monthly accruals including debt/interest 
   3. Insurance/subscriptions and other prepayments 
   4. All equity entries for Basin Holdings and related entities including account reconciliations 
   5. Maintain Prolease for finance and operating leases including monthly journal entries, reconciliations and rollforwards for multiple entities
   6. Maintain fixed assets for Basin Holdings and related entities including monthly journal entries and reconciliations 
   7. Other closing entries 
3. Ensure all entries are efficiently set up, recurring where possible, properly documented, and filed as necessary with the correct support 
4. Assist with other routine closing activities and help to:
   1. Develop, update, and maintain the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing checklists to ensure that all financial statements are complete, accurate and reviewed
   2. Prepare monthly financials with commentary for multiple entities
5. Prepare monthly account reconciliations and rollforwards for all balance sheet accounts for several entities
6. Support the quarterly and annual consolidation processes at the business unit and holdings level
7. Support the interim and annual audit processes with the Group’s external auditors:
   1. Analysis, reconciliations and reports as necessary
   2. Copies of requested journal entries, statements, and GL print outs 

1. Assist with the addition of any new companies to the corporate accounting group:
   1. Integrate into the existing processing and reporting processes (journals and reconciliations) 
2. Provide special analysis, research or support as requested by management 

Minimum Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required. CPA preferred
• At least 5 years of accounting and reporting experience
• Public and private company reporting experience preferred
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; QuickBooks, Dynamics, and Cognos TM1 knowledge a plus
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively with all levels
• Must be a motivated self-starter that is able to work independently
• Attention to detail, organized, and committed to functional excellence
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• A strong work ethic and high integrity aligned with the culture at Basin

Must be at least 18 years of age and must be legally authorized to work in the United States (US) on a permanent basis without visa sponsorship.
