What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Educator position at BASINSPIRE?
Auburn Crest Hospice is looking for a passionate, self-driven individual with a heart for teaching and Hospice. The perfect candidate for this role would have knowledge of Hospice and a general understanding of Medicare guidelines for Hospice and Hospice nursing.
This is a full time supervisory position reporting to the Director of Nursing. This role is responsible for collaborating with DON to plan and implement ongoing nursing education, planning monthly nursing meetings, and working with QAPI and Compliance to prioritize educational needs. Participate in mock surveys to evaluate strengths/weaknesses, and utilize this information to build educational tools. The Nurse Educator is responsible for onboarding of new staff and orienting them to the field and caseloads, as well as making frequent visits to the facilities in our community to offer on-site caregiving training to their staff/caregivers. This position comes with rotation of Supervisor call every 3 weeks.
