BASIS Independent Bellevue is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Middle School Swim Coach.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tennis, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive environment for middle school students. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in competitive swimming, a passion for working with young athletes, and the ability to create an engaging, fun, and skill-focused training environment.
Responsibilities :
- Plan and lead swim practices twice weekly (Tuesdays and Thursdays) from 6 : 45 AM to 7 : 45 AM at Samena Swim and Recreation Club.
- Teach fundamental swimming skills and techniques while fine-tuning mechanics for all strokes.
- Develop and implement racing strategies to prepare swimmers for competition.
- Motivate and inspire swimmers to achieve their personal and team goals.
- Foster a positive and inclusive team atmosphere that emphasizes fun, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
- Effectively communicate with parents regarding practice schedules, swim meets, and swimmer progress.
- Oversee the teams participation in 1-4 swim meets during the season.
