What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Designer/Engineer position at Baskervill?
Baskervill is an award-winning, multi-disciplinary design firm with offices throughout the country and in Gdansk, Poland. We are currently looking for a qualified Mechanical Designer/Engineer to join our growing team. This position provides the opportunity for you to work on a variety of design projects from Healthcare to Hospitality. As a member of our team, you’ll collaborate with Architects and Interior Designers to facilitate the success of Baskervill as we deliver great designs to our clients. Sound interesting? Let’s talk.
What you’ll be doing:
- Technical mechanical lead for assigned projects from schematic design through construction
- Perform or oversee all calculations required for design and edit specifications
- Coordinate design with disciplines, consultants and clients
- Field work as required
- Design layout and collaboration within Revit models
- Assist in the education of design staff
- Provide regular client and consultant communication throughout all phases of the project
- Some travel may be required
What you’ll need:
- 1-5 years of design experience
- BS in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
- EIT or PE preferred
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Working knowledge of Revit, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office suite
- Proficiency with heating and cooling load calculation software
