Duties
- Design and decorate cakes according to customer specifications and company standards.
- Collaborate with customers to understand their vision and provide recommendations for cake designs.
- Prepare and bake cakes, ensuring high-quality standards in taste and presentation.
- Utilize various decorating techniques, including piping, fondant application, and airbrushing.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of decorating area.
- Package finished cakes for pick up or display while ensuring they are presented beautifully.
- Assist with inventory management of baking supplies and ingredients.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and proper food handling practices at all times.
Experience
- Previous experience in the food industry, particularly in cake decorating or pastry arts is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Knowledge of culinary techniques related to baking and cake decoration.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools used in cake preparation and decoration.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
